This writ petition is filed under Article 226 of the constitution of India, praying to setting aside the government order No. TD 297 TDO 2021 dated 31.10.2021 (ANNEXURE-T) pursuant to which the respondent state has decided to forgo the issuance of chip based vehicle registration certificate in the state of Karnataka and consequently seeking to issue registration certificates through online/electronic mode & etc.
This petition coming on for Preliminary Hearing in ‘B’ group, this day, Alok Aradhe J., made the following:

for the following reliefs:

TDO 2021 dated 31.10.2021 (Annexure-T) pursuant to which the respondent State has decided to forego the issuance of chip based vehicle registration certificate in the State of Karnataka and consequently seeking to issue Registration Certificates through online/electronic mode.

of Karnataka, wherein it is stated that the State Government has decided to continue printing of Registration Certificates and Driving License smart cards at a State level centralized location at Nelamangala, RTO office, subject to the compliance of the terms and conditions of the Concession Agreement dated 25.02.2009. It is further submitted that the Concession Agreement executed in favour of the petitioner shall continue.
