by Sy.No.151/1, western side by Soraba Jade Road, Northern side by Sy.No.20 and southern side again by Sy.No.20. Therefore, the land is surrounded by Sy.No.20 and a main Road. It is averred in the petition that the land in question is in possession of the family of the petitioner for long years which the petitioner claims to be 75 years. It is further contended that records of rights of the year 196970 would show the name of the brother of the petitioner and later the name of the petitioner from 1977-78 onwards. It is further claimed that the land was not in a cultivable condition as it was full of rocks and shrubs and the petitioner improved the land, made it cultivable after spending huge sums of money earned from his agricultural occupation. When things stood thus, proceedings come to be initiated by the 2nd respondent seeking to evict the petitioner from the land on the ground that it was a forest land on which the petitioner was in unauthorized and illegal occupation. The proceedings were initiated under Section 64A of the Act before the Authorised Officer.
