THIS WRIT PETITION IS FILED UNDER ARTICLES 226 & 227 OF THE CONSTITUTION OF INDIA PRAYING TO DIRECT THE RESPONDENTS TO CONSIDER THE REPRESENTATION DTD 16.11.2018 VIDE ANNX-C AND DIRECT THE RESPONDENTS NOT TO INTERFERE WITH THE BUSINESS ACTIVITIES OF THE PETITIOENRS AND THEIR PERSONAL LIBERTY WITHOUT PROPER SANCTION OF LAW.

The short grievance of the petitioner is as to non consideration of his representation dated 16.11.2018, a copy whereof is at Annexure-C, wherein he has aired certain grievances against PSI Sri. Melvin Francis of Rammurthy Nagar Police Station.

Learned AGA on request having accepted notice

for the respondents opposes the writ petition banking upon a Co-ordinate Bench decision of this Court in WP.No.3453/2021(GM-POLICE) between THE JEWELLERS' ASSOCIATION (R) AND OTHERS vs. THE STATE OF KARNATAKA & OTHERS disposed off on 08.07.2021 in which it has been arguably held that the Guidelines promulgated by the Government concerning the treatment of grievances of the kind are only directory in nature; having so opposed, now he

fairly submits that he would instruct his clients to look into the grievances of petitioner in a time bound way and in accordance with law this is appreciable.

In view of the above, this writ petition is disposed off. Time for compliance is eight weeks. All contentions are kept
