This writ appeal is filed under Section 4 of the Karnataka High Court Act praying to set aside the impugned order dated 19.6.2018 in W.P.No.36978/2014 and pass such other appropriate orders allowing the said writ appeal with costs throughout.

We have heard Smt.G.Selvarani, learned counsel for

the appellant and Sri.Pavana Chandra Shetty, learned counsel for respondent No.1 and learned Additional Government Advocate for respondent Nos.2 to 5.

Learned counsel for the appellant submitted that

the appellant is only seeking some more time to pay the arrears of salary due to respondent No.1 pursuant to the order of the learned Single Judge.

Learned counsel for respondent No.1 objected to

any further time being granted and submitted that there is no merit in the appeal and the appeal may be dismissed. Learned AGA also echoed the said submission.

In the circumstances, we dismiss this appeal on

merits and by granting time upto 15.4.2021 to pay the balance amount due to respondent No.1. It is made clear that, if the balance amount is not paid to respondent No.1

on or before 15.4.2021, this Court would take a serious view of the matter. Liberty is also reserved to respondent No.1 to initiate contempt proceedings against the appellant herein.

The appeal is accordingly dismissed but by extending the time period to pay the balance amount by the appellant to respondent No.1.
