THIS WRIT PETITION IS FILED UNDER ARTICLE 226 OF THE CONSTITUTION OF INDIA PRAYING TO DIRECT THE RESPONDENT NO.2 TO RELEASE/ALLOCATE 39,000 KILOLITRES OF KEROSENE PER QUARTER TO THE STATE OF KARNATAKA AND ETC.

Today, an additional statement of objections has been filed by the State of Karnataka enclosing therewith the Government Order dated 27^th July 2016. The Government Order records the decision of the Government to release three litres of kerosene per month to all the BPL card holders who do not have LPG connections. Therefore, the State Government is under an obligation to supply kerosene as provided in the Government Order dated 27^th July 2016.

We, therefore, direct the State Government to ensure that so long as the Government Order dated 27^th July 2016 continues to operate, the same shall be scrupulously implemented.

With the above directions, the writ petition is

disposed of.
