THIS WRIT PETITION IS FILED UNDER ARTICLE 226 OF THE CONSTITUTION OF INDIA, PRAYING TO ISSUE A WRIT OF MANDAMUS TO THE R-1 AND R-2 TO TAKE NECESSARY AND APPROPRIATE ACTION AVAILABLE IN LAW TO IMMEDIATELY CONSTITUTE A COMMITTEE AND / OR ADDITIONAL COMMITTEE IN EACH OF THE LEGISLATIVE ASSEMBLY CONSTITUENCY OF THE KARNATAKA STATE FOR THE PURPOSE OF DISPOSAL OF THE APPLICATION FOR REGULARIZATION OF UNAUTHORIZED OCCUPATION OF GOVERNMENT LAND AND DISPOSE OF ALL THE PENDING APPLICATIONS IN THIS REGARD WITHIN A REASONABLE PERIOD OF TIME.

After hearing the petitioner appearing in person, who is a member of the Bar, his grievance appears to be about failure of the State Government to constitute committees as required by sub-section (i) of Section 94A of the Karnataka Land Revenue Act, 1964. The mandate of the said provision is that the State Government shall constitute for each constituency of the Legislative Assembly, such a committee. The petitioner must first make out a case that for any particular constituency, such a committee has not been constituted. After getting

specific information, the petitioner can make a representation making out specific grievance regarding the failure to constitute a committee as per sub-section (i) of Section 94A of the Karnataka Land Revenue Act, 1964, in a particular constituency.

We dispose of the petition by giving liberty to the petitioner to make a specific representation to the State Government making specific assertions.
