The petitioners are before this Court under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for a direction to the 2^nd respondent to immediately pass the final order in No.LRF (A) SR 99/87 pending before the Land Tribunal Ranebennur taluk, Haveri District.

Heard the learned counsel for the petitioners and the learned HCGP for the

respondents.

The learned counsel for the petitioners

submits that the case bearing No.LRF (A) SR 99/87 before the 2^nd respondent-Land Tribunal, Ranebennur was argued finally on 01.03.2018 and on the said date the matter was posted for orders. It is the grievance of the petitioners that no orders have been passed by the Land Tribunal till this date. It is stated that the dispute with regard to the lands in question is pending consideration for last more than 36 years. Hence, he prays for a direction to the 2^nd respondent-Land Tribunal to pass appropriate orders immediately.

On 02.01.2020 the learned HCGP accepted notice on behalf of respondents No.1 and 2 and he was directed to get instructions as to the status of the petitioners’ proceedings before the 2^nd respondent –Land Tribunal.

Accordingly, today the learned HCGP on

instructions from the respondents submits that the Land Tribunals are yet to be constituted through out the State and that the 1^st respondent-State Government would constitute the Land Tribunal, particularly, to the Haveri District within two months from today. He further submits that after constitution of the Land Tribunal, immediately the case of the petitioners would be taken up for hearing and the same would be disposed of expeditiously not later than one or two hearings.

Recording the above submission of the learned HCGP, the writ petition stands disposed of.
