since it involves a short point, it is taken up for final disposal with the consent of both the learned counsel for the parties.

The learned counsel for the petitioner submits that in terms of the notification at Annexure-B, as per the ordinance issued by the University, malpractices or acts of indiscipline in setting question paper, out of syllabus, the penalty that can be imposed is Rs.1,000/- and hence, he would pray that the suspension be quashed and petitioner be restored to his post.
respondents-university would submit that on account of the acts of the petitioner, University has received numerous complaints from various colleges regarding the question paper that was set up for the preparatory test conducted by IMER. He would further submit that if a month’s time is granted, enquiry would be completed.
