These Writ Petitions are filed under Articles 226 and 227 of the Constitution of India, praying to issue a writ of mandamus directing the respondent Nos.1, 2 and 5 to approve the admission of the petitioners to PB B.Sc(N) Course for the academic year 201213 at the 5th respondent College and etc.

The present petitions are filed in the following background:
The petitioners are students who are pursuing their Post Basic Bachelor of Science Nursing course at the 5th respondent – College and are aggrieved by the fact that the 2nd respondent – Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences has not sanctioned the intake as per the Indian Nursing Council orders approving the intake of 50 seats even though they have completed the course and prepared for the examination. In that background, the present petitions having been filed, the petitioners were directed to take the examination in August 2013 and thereafter, the entire curriculum having been completed, it is now for the students to complete their practical training and to undertake the examination which is to commence soon, possibly by June 2014. It is in this background

that the present petitions are posted before the Court for ‘preliminary hearing in ‘B’ group’.
The petitions are accordingly disposed of.
