In these writ petitions the petitioners have prayed for a writ in
the nature of certiorari to quash the notification dated 25.02.2012 as per Annexure E fixing the reservation for Mayor and Deputy Mayor
posts in the respondent No. 3 - BBMP.
terms of the impugned notification elections were held, office bearers were elected and their term had come to an end in the month of April 2013. Further it is brought to my notice that for the period 2013-14 a fresh notification is issued by the respondent Government on 08.02.2013 fixing the reservation for the post of Mayor and Deputy Mayor. In view of this development, the prayer in the writ petitions do not survive for consideration. Accordingly, the writ petitions are hereby disposed off as the same do not survive for consideration. However it is open for the petitioners, if they are

aggrieved by the present notification issued for the period 2013-14,
to question the same in accordance with law.
