Appeal dismissed on merits (conviction under Sections 148 & 323/149 IPC upheld) with modification of sentence: appellants released under Section 4 of the Probation of Offenders Act, 1958 in place of substantive imprisonment, on furnishing bond of Rs. 5,000/- (Rupees Five Thousand) each with one surety of like amount to the satisfaction of the learned trial court within two months, for maintaining peace and good behaviour for one year; failing furnishing of the bond, the trial court to issue notice to secure attendance; on breach of the bond conditions, the sentence already awarded (R.I. two years each under Section 148 IPC and R.I. one year each under Sections 323/149 IPC) becomes receivable. Pending I.A.s disposed of accordingly.
