This appeal is directed against the judgment and order of conviction and sentence dated 28.01.2019 (sentence passed on 01.02.2019), by the learned Additional Sessions Judge-I-cum-Special Judge, Dumka, in Special POCSO Act Case No. 01 of 2014, whereby and whereunder, the appellant has been convicted for the offence under section 6 of the POCSO Act and has been sentenced to undergo RI for 12 years along with a fine of Rs.2,000/-.
It has been submitted, at the outset, by the learned counsel for the appellant that the appellant has completed his sentence and has been released from the custody and therefore, he does not intend to press the present appeal.
Learned A.P.P., on instruction, has reiterated the said submission.
Regard being had to the submissions advanced by the learned counsel for the appellant, this appeal accordingly stands disposed of.
