This appeal is directed against the order dated 23.07.2026 passed by the learned Additional Sessions Judge-IV, I/c Dhanbad in Bail Petition No. 604/2026 in connection with Katras (East Basuria O.P.) P.S. Case No. 137 of 2026, whereby and whereunder, the prayer for regular bail of the appellant has been rejected.
It has been alleged that on an information, a motorcycle was stopped and three persons, including the present appellant, were apprehended and from the possession of the appellant, bomb-like substance was recovered.
Submission has been advanced by the learned counsel for the appellant that the appellant is in custody since 01.05.2026. It has further been submitted that the electronic evidence has failed to establish any nexus between the appellant and the other accused persons. Learned counsel submits that though the appellant has two criminal antecedents, in one case, being Barwadda P.S. Case No. 28 of 2025, he has been acquitted by the learned trial court.

Learned A.P.P. has opposed the prayer for bail of the appellant.
Regard being had to the period of custody undergone by the appellant we, while setting aside the order dated 23.07.2026 passed by the learned Additional Sessions Judge-IV, I/c Dhanbad in Bail Petition No. 604/2026, direct that the appellant be released on bail on furnishing bail bond of Rs. 10,000/- (Rupees Ten Thousand only) with two sureties of the like amount each, to the satisfaction of the learned SDJM, Dhanbad in connection with Katras (East Basuria O.P.) P.S. Case No. 137 of 2026, subject to the condition that appellant shall remain physically present before the learned trial court on each and every date till the conclusion of the trial unless prevented by a sufficient cause.
This appeal stands allowed.
