02/ 19.06.2026: This bail application has been filed by the petitioner under Sections 483 and 484 of BNSS, 2023 wherein, prayer has been made for grant of bail as he is in custody for allegedly committing offence punishable under Sections 309(4)/ 317(3) of BNS.

Heard, learned counsel for the petitioner, learned counsel for the State and have also gone through the impugned order.

Learned AddI. P.P. opposes the prayer for bail.

The prayer for bail of the petitioner was earlier rejected. Petitioner renews his prayer for bail on the ground that the charge has been framed and he is in custody since 07.08.2025.

The allegation against the petitioner is that while he snatched the gold ring and tried to flee, he was caught on the spot.

Considering the aforesaid fact and the fact that the charge has already framed in this case and he is in custody since 07.08.2025, I am inclined to grant bail to the petitioner. Accordingly, the petitioner, named above, is directed to be released on bail on furnishing bail bond of Rs.10,000/(Rupees Ten Thousand) with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of the learned District & Additional Sessions Judge-III, Khunti, in connection with Murhu P.S. Case No.47 of 2025, subject to the condition that one of the bailors should be a close relative of the petitioner with a further condition that the petitioner shall appear and mark his attendance before the Registrar, Civil Court, Khunti once in a month till the disposal of the trial.
