02 /15.09.2026 Heard learned counsel appearing for the petitioner as well as learned counsel appearing for the State.
2. The petitioner is apprehending his arrest in connection with Bankmore P.S. Case No.118 of 2026, for the alleged offences registered under Sections 303(2), 317(2) of Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, 2023, Sections 12(1) and 12(2) of Jharkhand Bovine Animal Prohibition of Slaughter Act, 2005 and Section 11(1)(d) of Prevention of Cruelty to Animal Act, 1960 pending in the Court of learned Chief Judicial Magistrate, Dhanbad.
3. Learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submits that the petitioner happened to be owner-cum-driver of pickup van and the allegations are made of carrying bovine animals. He further submits that the said bovine animals were booked by another person and the vehicle in question is commercial. He then submits that the petitioner has got no criminal antecedent as disclosed in paragraph No.25 of the petition. He next submits that the petitioner earns his livelihood by way of driving the

said pickup van. On these grounds, he submits that anticipatory bail may kindly be granted.
4. Learned counsel appearing for the State opposed the prayer and submits that allegations are there of illegally carrying the bovine animals.

Considering that the petitioner happened to be owner-cumdriver of the pickup van and it has been pointed out that the bovine animals were booked by another person and the petitioner has got no criminal antecedent as disclosed in paragraph No.25 of the petition and further the petitioner earns his livelihood by way of driving the said pickup van, I am inclined to provide anticipatory bail to the petitioner.

Accordingly, the petitioner, above named, is hereby directed to surrender before the learned Court within three weeks from today, and in the event of his surrender/arrest, the petitioner, above named, shall be released on bail, on furnishing bail bond of Rs.25,000/- (Rupees Twenty Five Thousand), with two sureties of the like amount each, to the satisfaction of learned Chief Judicial Magistrate, Dhanbad in connection with Bankmore P.S. Case No.118 of 2026, subject to the conditions as laid down under Section 482(2) of Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, 2023.
