The petitioner apprehends his arrest in connection with Simdega (Mahila) P.S. Case No.17 of 2026.

It has been alleged that the informant had developed friendship with the petitioner through Facebook and on the pretext of marriage the petitioner had continuously made physical relationship with her. It has also been alleged that the informant had become pregnant which was terminated on account of administration of medicine given by the petitioner. However, the petitioner and his family members had subsequently refused to solemnize marriage of the petitioner with the informant.

Submission has been advanced by learned counsel for the petitioner that the informant is a major lady and she was admittedly having a love affair with the petitioner for more than 5 years.

Learned A.P.P has opposed the prayer for anticipatory bail of the petitioner.

Regard being had to the fact that there was a long standing affair between the petitioner and the informant and the informant appears to have consented to the sexual advances made by the petitioner, I am inclined to extend the privilege of anticipatory bail to the petitioner. Accordingly, he is directed to surrender before the learned court below within a period of four

weeks and on his surrender, he shall be released on bail on furnishing bail bond of Rs. 10,000/- (Rupees Ten Thousand only) with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of learned Chief Judicial Magistrate, Simdega in connection with Simdega (Mahila) P.S. Case No.17 of 2026, subject to the conditions as laid down under Section 482(2) of the Bhartiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, 2023.
