03 /19.02.2026: This bail application has been filed under Sections 483 & 484 of BNSS, 2023 wherein, prayer has been made for grant of bail as he is in custody for allegedly committing offence punishable under Sections 308(5) and 3(5) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita and Sections 27 of Arms Act.

2. Heard, learned counsel for the petitioner, learned counsel for the State and have also gone through the impugned order.

3. Learned APP opposes the prayer for bail.

4. This is a case of extortion. Though the petitioner is not named in the First Information Report (FIR) but it is a fact that there are 17 cases pending against the petitioner. The cases are of extortion, Arms Act and also of murder. The cases which are against the petitioner are as follows:

5. Considering the aforesaid fact, at this stage, I am not inclined to grant privilege of bail to the petitioner. Accordingly, the prayer for bail of the petitioner in connection with Barkagaon PS Case No. 187 of 2024, pending in the Court of learned Judicial Magistrate First Class, Hazaribagh stands rejected.
