2. The petitioner is seeking regular bail in connection with CID P.S. Case No.44 of 2024 for the alleged offences registered under Sections 318(4), 316(5), 338, 336(3), 340(1), 340(2), 61(2) and 111(4) of Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, 2023 pending in the Court of learned AJC-XVIII, Ranchi.

3. Learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submits that petitioner was working as a Branch Manager of Central Bank of India and the petitioner has lodged the case being Doranda P.S. Case No.233 of 2024 on 02.10.2024 alleging that

three persons have come to the branch for withdrawal of FD receipt which was found to be forged. He submits in spite of

that police has registered the FIR on 08.10.2024. He further submits that subsequently Jharkhand Bijli Vitran Nigam Limited instituted the FIR on 19.10.2024 against five of their officers in which the name of the petitioner has also been implicated and the petitioner is in custody since 07.01.2025.

4. Mr. Kaushik Sarkhel, learned counsel is present in the Court who usually appears on behalf of JBVNL and in view of that the Court has called upon him to address the Court. He opposes the prayer and submits that the petitioner is named in the FIR. He submits that the allegation is there against the petitioner and in view of that the FIR has been registered against him.

5. Learned counsel appearing for the State opposed the prayer and submits that allegations are there.

Considering that the petitioner is happened to be the Branch Manager of Central Bank of India and he is in judicial custody since 07.01.2025 and the petitioner has complained to the police on 02.10.2024 and on his complaint the FIR was registered on 08.10.2024 wherein he has stated that three persons have come to the bank having forged FD receipts and thereafter the JBVNL has lodged the FIR against his employees wherein the name of the petitioner has been implicated.

7. In the attending facts and circumstances of this case, I am inclined to grant regular bail to the petitioner.

8. Accordingly, the petitioner, above named, shall be released on regular bail, on furnishing bail bond of Rs.25,000/(Rupees Twenty Five Thousand) with two sureties of the like amount each, to the satisfaction of learned AJC-XVIII, Ranchi in connection with CID P.S. Case No.44 of 2024.
