1. Heard learned counsel for the parties.

2. The matter relates to issuance of rent receipt to the petitioner. The description of land is as follows :-

“Plot No.37, Khata No.102, Area – 4.89 acres out of 8.42 acres situated at Mouza – Namkum, Anchal – Namkum, District – Ranchi (Jharkhand).”

It has been submitted by the learned counsel for the petitioner that the aforesaid land is a raiyati land of the petitioner as it has been settled and further, the rent receipt was also being issued. The said land has been included in the restricted list in pursuance of the circular of the State Government. It has further been submitted that subsequently, a circular has been issued, wherein a procedure has been prescribed for making an application before the Deputy Commissioner and as such the petitioner wants to avail that remedy.

4. In that view of the matter, the present writ petition is, hereby, disposed of giving liberty to the petitioner to file an appropriate application before the Deputy Commissioner, Ranchi.

The Deputy Commissioner, Ranchi is directed to take appropriate decision on the application of the petitioner, after following due procedure, as per the mandate of the circular,

within eight weeks from the date of filing of such application by the petitioner.

5. With the above observation and direction, the present writ petition is, hereby, disposed of.
