12 / 12.09.2024 Petitioners are seeking absorption in the State Government as they have worked under the scheme of National Child Labour Project Schools which was implemented under the policy decision of the Central Government in the concerned districts of the State for over a period of 17-18 years.

Petitioners were working on contractual basis and after the scheme came to end, their services were no longer taken.

Petitioners have earlier preferred a writ petition being W.P (S) No. 2708 of 2015 and the learned single Judge of this court vide order dated 22.09.2015, directed the petitioners to agitate the matter for their absorption with the State Government.

It is admitted case that the petitioners were working on contractual basis in the schools under the National Child Labour Project Scheme and they were not working against any vacant sanctioned post. As such, their case for absorption in Government service is not made out. Accordingly, this writ application is dismissed. Pending I.A., if any, stands disposed of.
