Heard the parties.

The grievance of the petitioner is that though the land of the petitioner has been acquired but the petitioner is not aware about the notification number or date by which his land has been acquired but he is still in possession of the land but he has not been paid any compensation as per law.

Learned counsel for the State submits that the appropriate authority to consider awarding of a compensation in case of acquisition of law is the Collector within the meaning of Section 64 of The Right to Fair Compensation and Transparency in Land Acquisition, Rehabilitation and Resettlement Act, 2013 hence, the petitioner be directed to approach the respondent no.2 with relevant document for adequate compensation.

Having heard the rival submissions made at the Bar and after going through the materials available in the record, as the petitioner is not able to come forward with the number or date of notification concerned basing upon which, he claims his land have been acquired, this writ petition is disposed of with the observation that the petitioner if so advised may approach the respondent no.2- Deputy Commissioner-cum-Collector, Bokaro with relevant documents for awarding of compensation and in case, the petitioner approaches, the respondent no.2 is directed to
