Inspector to enquire the matter who, in turn, made an enquiry and prepared their report in detail with maps and submitted the same to the Circle Officer, Dhanwar on 27.01.2023. A high-level committee consisting of Sub-Divisional Officer, Khori Mahua, Giridih, District Mining Officer, Giridih and Circle Officer, Dhanwar also enquired the matter on 04.02.2023. The Circle Officer, Dhanwar submitted his report relating to measurement of the land of the leased area vide memo no. 82 dated 07.02.2023 to the respondent no. 3 – the SubDivisional Officer, Khori Mahua, Giridih stating that the mining work as per the mining lease was going on over 1.31 acres of land. It was also stated in the said report that the private respondent nos. 5 and 6 had fenced 37.5 decimals of the adjacent land of the leased area with wire for safety, security and protection as well as there was no encroachment of land while carrying on the mining activities and the distance of ‘Mazila River’ from the leased area is 30 meters. The joint enquiry report as well as the report of the Circle Officer, Dhanwar corroborated the aforesaid facts. The District Mining Officer, Giridih vide memo no. 192 dated 16.02.2023 submitted his report to the respondent no. 2 mentioning that after taking clearance from the State Level Environment Impact Assessment Authority (SEIAA), Jharkhand, mining lease in respect of the land in question has been renewed for the period from 01.06.2013 to 31.05.2023. In such circumstance, the mining lease in question is itself going to expire on 31.05.2023.
