07/06.04.2022 Petitioner has approached this Court with a prayer for a direction upon the respondents to initiate and complete process for promotion from the post of Junior Engineer to Assistant Engineer, in relation to present petitioners who are Associate Members of the Institution of Engineers/Bachelor of Technology.

At the very outset Mr. Saurabh Shekhar, learned counsel appearing for the petitioners submits that suffice it would be if a direction be given to the respondents to consider case of the petitioner in light of Resolution of Government of Jharkhand dated 07.03.2022 issued by the Secretary, Road Construction Department, Government of Jharkhand under the order of His Excellency Governor of Jharkhand, which has been brought on record vide Annexure-IA/1 to the I.A. No. 2247 of 2022.

Mr. Suchendra Prasad, learned GP-IV appearing on behalf of the State does not object to the prayer.

Having heard counsel for the parties and considering facts and circumstances of the case, I hereby dispose of the writ petition with a direction to the respondents to consider case of the petitioners in light of Resolution of Government of Jharkhand dated 07.03.2022, issued by the Secretary, Road Construction Department, Government of Jharkhand under the order of His Excellency Governor of Jharkhand and pass final order within a period of 12 weeks from the date of receipt/ production of a copy of this order. Needless to say, if petitioners are found fit for promotion and consequential benefits in view of Resolution dated 07.03.2022 (particularly para-5 thereof), the same be extended to them within a further period of six weeks.

With the aforementioned observation and direction, this writ petition stands disposed of.

As a sequel thereof, I.A. No. 2247 of 2022 also stand disposed of.
