Petitioner has approached before this Court with a prayer for a direction upon the respondents to deposit contribution of the petitioner towards Provident Fund for the periods from 17.01.1990 to 31.03.2001, amounting to Rs.38,675/- which though deducted from salary of the petitioner has not been deposited in the Provident Fund Account of the petitioner being GIR/ R VP-1050. Petitioner has also prayed for a direction upon the respondents to calculate and pay interest on the Provident Fund contributions of the petitioner, which though being deducted had not been deposited in the PF Account of the petitioner depriving him from interest which would have accrued/fetched, if the same would have been deposited on time.
At the very outset it has been submitted by Mr. Rahul Kumar, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner that suffice it would be if a

direction be given to the respondent nos. 4 and 5 to deposit the amount towards Provident Fund contributions of the petitioner for the periods from 17.01.1990 to 31.03.2001 amounting to Rs.38,675 along with interest.
Since counter affidavit has not been filed, learned counsel for the respondents is not in a position to controvert statements of the petitioner.
Having heard counsel for the parties, perusing documents brought on record and considering facts and circumstances of the case, I hereby direct the respondent no. 5 to deposit the Provident Fund contributions of the petitioner for the periods from 17.01.1990 to 31.03.2001 amounting to Rs.38,675 along with interest till date in the Provident Fund Account of the petitioner being GIR/ R VP – 1050, within a period of three weeks from the date of receipt/ production of a copy of this order.
With the aforesaid observations and directions, this writ petition stands disposed of.
Let a copy of this order be communicated to respondent nos. 4 and 5 for the needful.
