04/20.01.2021 The present writ petition is taken up today through Video conferencing.

The present writ petition has been filed for issuance of direction upon the State respondents to stop the construction of boundary wall being made by the Vice Chancellor, Central University of Jharkhand, Ranchi-respondent no.2 in village Manatu, Cheri and Sukurhuttu, PostKamre, P.S. Kanke, District-Ranchi. Further prayer has been made for issuance of direction upon the State respondents to take necessary steps for payment of compensation to the petitioners under the provisions of the Right to Fair Compensation and Transparency in Land Acquisition, Rehabilitation and Resettlement Act, 2013. The petitioners have also made other related prayers.

Having heard learned counsel for the parties and keeping in view the nature of the prayer made in the present writ petition, without entering into the merit of the case, the petitioners are given liberty to file application(s) before the District Land Acquisition Officer, Ranchirespondent no.5 on the present issue. On receipt of the said application(s), the respondent no.5 after providing due opportunity of hearing to the concerned parties, shall take an informed decision in accordance with law within a reasonable period.

The present writ petition is disposed of with aforesaid liberty and direction.
