07/19.02.2021 Heard learned counsel for the parties.
The petitioners are accused in a case registered for the offence punishable under Sections 302/201/34 IPC.
Learned counsel for the petitioners submits that the petitioners’ prayers for bail were earlier rejected four times by this Court. By way of present bail application, the petitioners have renewed their prayer for bail primarily for the reason that they are in judicial custody since 14.07.2016 and the trial has not yet been concluded. Hence, they may be given the privilege of regular bail.
On perusal of the report submitted vide letter No. 21 dated 21.01.2021 by the learned District and Additional Sessions Judge-I, West Singhbhum at Chaibasa, it appears that out of 12 charge sheet witnesses, all have been examined and the case is likely to be disposed of soon.
Considering the fact that the trial of the case is at concluding stage, I see no reason to reconsider the petitioners’ prayer for bail in connection with S.T. No. 209/2019.
Accordingly, the prayer for bail of the above named petitioners is rejected.
