procedure, allowed mutation in her favour vide order dated 13.11.1990 passed in Mutation Case No. 207/1990-91. Thereafter, the petitioner paid the rent assessed by the State Government and in lieu thereof, the rent receipts were also issued in her favour. Due to some unavoidable circumstances, the petitioner remained absent from Hazaribagh for some time as a result of which the rent of the said land fell in arrears. In the year 2015, she sent her husband to Hazaribagh to pay the rent. The concerned Karamchari of Sadar Anchal informed the petitioner’s husband that the demand in respect of the said land was running in the name of respondent No.5 in view of the order dated 23.02.2010 passed in Mutation Case No. 2320/2009-10 on the basis of the alleged sale deed dated 07.06.1996. However, on making enquiry at the instance of the petitioner in the concerned circle office, no document was found regarding the alleged transfer. The petitioner also made enquiry from the office of the respondent No.4 wherein she came to know that the said sale deed was allegedly executed by her in favour of the respondent No.5. Thereafter, she also obtained a copy of the said sale deed. According to the petitioner, the respondent No.5 in collusion and conspiracy with other unknown persons, set up an imposter and got the alleged sale deed executed in her favour on 07.06.1996. Thereafter, the petitioner represented various authorities including the Deputy Commissioner, Hazaribagh - the respondent No.3 in this regard. However, there had been no response from the said authorities. Subsequently, the petitioner filed a case on 20.04.2017 before the respondent No.3 for enquiry and cancellation of the alleged sale deed dated 07.06.1996 under Section 82 of the Act, 1908 read with Notification/Circular No. 930 dated 21.09.2016 which was registered as Pratirupan (Imposter) Case No. 06/2017. However, the said case is still pending before the respondent No.3 and no positive step has been taken by the said authority in this regard.
