In all these appeals, concerned interlocutory orders passed in Cont. Case (Civil) No.664 of 2017 are under challenge, however, I.A. Nos.5291/2020, 5292/2020, 5293/2020, 5295/2020 and 5296/2020 in L.P.A. Nos.419/2019, 420/2019, 421/2019, 423/2019 and 424/2019 have been filed respectively seeking leave for withdrawal of the appeals filed by the StateState-appellants. It has been stated in the Interlocutory Applications that the learned Single Judge has passed the final order in the Contempt Petition being Cont. Case (Civil) No.664 of 2017 on 21.06.2019 which is quoted as under: -

“In view of the amendment in the Regularization Rules, proceeding in this contempt case is closed. As a consequence of the amendment in the Regularization Rules, all previous cases shall also be examined afresh and, therefore, irrespective of the previous order rejecting the claim of the petitioner for regularization, the contemnors are directed to consider the claim of the petitioner in terms of the amended Regularization Rules.

In view thereof, the State has filed the applications for withdrawal of the appeals as the Contempt proceedings have already been closed and as such, these appeals, which have been filed assailing the interlocutory orders passed in the aforesaid Contempt Case, have already become infructuous.

Accordingly, the Interlocutory Applications, being Nos.5291/2020, 5292/2020, 5293/2020, 5295/2020 and 5296/2020 are allowed and leave is granted to the State-appellants to withdraw these appeals.

LPA Nos. 419/2019, 420/2019, 421/2019, 423/2019 and 424/2019

As prayed on behalf of the appellants, all these appeals are dismissed as withdrawn.

In view of withdrawal of the appeals, all other pending Interlocutory Applications stand disposed of.
