5/26.02.2020: The appellant has been convicted and sentenced in S.T. Case No. 35 of 2011.
An Interlocutory Application vide I.A. No. 1841 of 2020 has been filed by the State in Cr. Appeal (DB) No. 417 of 2014 which has been sworn by Vijay Kumar Yadav who is posted as Sub-Inspector of Police, Adityapur Police Station, Saraikela. He has stated that on 8th July, 2015, Sonu Bose @ Babu Telengi has died in course of his treatment. A death certificate dated 5th August, 2015 has been attached in I.A. No. 1841 of 2020.
Mr. Arun Kumar Pandey, the learned counsel states that after assuming the charge of Additional Public Prosecutor he had informed the appellant’s family members and he has received instruction not to press this criminal appeal.
In the above facts, Cr. Appeal (DB) No. 429 of 2014 is dismissed as not pressed.
