The petitioner is an accused for allegedly committing offence punishable under Sections 414, 419, 420, 467, 468, 471 and 120B of the Indian Penal Code and Section 66(B) (C) (D) of Information Technology Act.
The prayer for bail of the petitioner was earlier rejected on 03.08.2018.
Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner has remained in custody since 8th December, 2017.
This is a case where the petitioner was involved in transferring money electronically from the bank accounts of others. Several e-wallets were found in his mobile phone and transactions were made. On that ground his prayer for bail was rejected. The trial is in progress which is apparent from the report submitted by the trial court.
Considering the fact that the trial is in progress, I am not inclined to allow this application. Accordingly, prayer for bail of the petitioner, abovenamed, in connection with Narayanpur Police Station Case No. 256 of 2017 corresponding to G.R. No. 1302 of 2017, pending in the court of learned Sub-Divisional Judicial Magistrate, Jamtara, is hereby rejected.
It is expected that the trial court will take all possible steps so that the trial is concluded as early as possible, preferably within six months from today.
This application stands dismissed.
