Learned A.P.P. appearing for the State opposes the prayer for bail of the petitioner.
Petitioner is accused for allegedly committing the offence punishable under Sections 25(1-b)a, 26, 35 of the Arms Act and Section 17 of the Criminal Law Amendment Act, in connection with Ormanjhi Police Station Case No.64 of 2017 corresponding to G.R. No.2703 of 2017, pending in the Court of learned Chief Judicial Magistrate, Ranchi.
It is alleged that petitioners were demanding levy and they were arrested and from their possession five air guns, one double barrel 12 bore gun were recovered.
Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner has remained in custody since 01.06.2017.
Taking into consideration the period of custody, petitioner, namely, Sohrai Bedia, is directed to be released on bail on furnishing bail bonds of Rs.10,000/- (Rupees Ten Thousand) with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of the learned Chief Judicial Magistrate, Ranchi in connection with Ormanjhi Police Station Case No.64 of 2017 corresponding to G.R. No.2703 of 2017.
