05/04.10.2017 The instant public interest litigation sought to raise issue relating to declaration of eco-sensitive zone around Koderma and Hazaribagh wild life sanctuary as it was alleged that the respondents-State authorities have not been taking adequate steps in response to the communication of the Government of India in that direction.
Learned counsel for the State, however, informs that the matter relating to declaration of eco-sensitive zones of different wildlife sanctuaries within the State about 10 in number is already a subject matter of the PIL pending before this Court being W.P.(PIL) No.4067 of 2016. The matter is being monitored by this Court at regular intervals. Therefore, no useful purpose would be served by entertaining the present writ petition for the same cause.
Learned counsel for the petitioner also does not dispute the statements made by the counsel for the State relating to the similar matter pending before this Court.
In the light of the aforesaid facts, we do not find it necessary to keep the instant petition pending for the same reason. This writ petition is accordingly disposed of.
