The petitioner, through the medium of this petition, seeks a direction to the respondents to consider and promote him against the post of Special Officer for Cultural Academy (SOCA) with effect

from the date the post fell vacant, along with all consequential service benefits asserting that the post has been lying vacant since 30^th of September, 2021, and that the petitioner is eligible to be considered for promotion against the said post.

Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner would be satisfied if the petition is disposed of at this stage with a direction to the respondents to consider the plea raised by the petitioner in the present petition and consider his case for promotion against the next available post.

Mr. Numan Malik, learned counsel for the respondents submits that the respondents have no serious objection to the consideration of the plea raised by the petitioner, in the present petition.

In view of the submissions made by learned counsel for the parties, the petition is disposed of with a direction to the respondents to consider the case of the petitioner for promotion against the next available post, in accordance with law, expeditiously.
