India filed by the petitioners is directed against the order and judgment dated 25th March, 2026, passed by the Central Administrative Tribunal, Srinagar Bench [“the Tribunal”] in MA No. 866/2024 in OA No. 367/2024 titled “Mohammad Akbar Rather and Ors. Vs. Union Territory of J&K and Ors.”, whereby the claim of the petitioners for payment of wages for the period from the year 2014 till the end of the year 2018 has been rejected on the ground of limitation.
which wages on the face of it are barred by limitation. Even the claim for recovery of such wages in civil law is equally hit by the law of limitation. The Tribunal has, therefore, rightly declined to entertain the claim of the petitioners and dismissed the Original Application. The view thus taken by the Tribunal is unexceptionable and, therefore, deserves to be upheld.
