The Petitioner, through the medium of the instant Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, is seeking a direction in the name of the concerned police authorities (Respondents No. 2 to 7 herein) for furnishing a factual and verified antecedent/ character status of the Petitioner to Respondent No.8, with further direction to the Respondent No.8 to consider and decide the Petitioner’s pending representations for rejoining/resumption of service by passing a reasoned and speaking order. Further, the Petitioner is also seeking a direction upon the Respondent No.8 to consider the claim of the Petitioner for salary, allowances and other admissible service benefits from the date of his disembodiment, i.e., 23^rd of July, 2025, in accordance with applicable rules.

The Petitioner has drawn the attention of this Court to communications dated 7^th of May, 2026, 22^nd of May, 2026 and 20^th of June, 2026 made on behalf of Respondent No.8 to him with regard to his character verification, with a direction to forward the details of all the pending civil/ criminal cases against him.

Having heard the Petitioner in person, the learned Deputy Solicitor General of India (DSGI) and after going through the pleadings available on record, coupled with the nature of relief sought for, the present Writ Petition is disposed of at this stage with a direction to the Respondents No.2 to 7 to furnish the Petitioner the details which have been required by the Respondent No.8 from the Petitioner with regard to pendency of civil/ criminal cases against him expeditiously, so that the Petitioner presents the same before the Respondent No.8 for his consideration.

Writ Petition is thus, disposed of on the above terms, along with the connected CM.
