Reply stands filed on behalf of respondents 1 to 3, wherein, it is stated that the instant writ petition has rendered infructuous to the extent, circular dated 27.04.2026 is concerned, on account of the fact that the Government of J&K, Housing & Urban Development Department having in exercise of powers conferred by Section 67 of the Jammu and Kashmir Municipal Corporation Act, 2000, has notified the Jammu Municipal Corporation (Subordinate) Service Recruitment Rules, 2026, vide S.O. 169 dated 15.06.2026.

It is, further, stated by Mr. Ravinder Gupta, AAG that Government would be strictly adhering to the Rules (supra) i.e. S.O. 169 dated 15.06.2026, for granting promotion to the different cadres in the respondent-Department.

Confronted with the aforesaid position, learned counsel for the petitioners seeks withdrawal of the writ petition with liberty to file fresh one, if cause survives, otherwise.

The writ petition is, accordingly, dismissed as withdrawn, with aforesaid liberty.

Interim direction dated 15.05.2026 shall stand vacated.
