01. Mr. Z.A. Shah, learned senior counsel appearing for the petitioner submits that for the last three years, out of 92 witnesses, only 23 have been examined by the prosecution till date. He further submits that right to speedy trial has been violated.
02. Faced with the aforesaid situation, Mr. Shamsi, learned DSGI, appearing for the respondents submits that the witnesses are being regularly produced before the learned trial court, but due to certain unavoidable circumstances the witnesses could be examined on few occasions.
03. Be that as it may, the present petition is disposed of by directing learned trial court to ensure that the trial is concluded as expeditiously as possible and no adjournment,
merely, on the asking of either of the parties be granted to
them.
04. Disposed of.
