1. By this petition, the petitioner herein is seeking a direction upon the respondents to restrain them from issuing letters of intent, for extraction of minor minerals from private lands, in favour of private land owners whose lands are in the same vicinity where the minor mineral blocks, allotted to the petitioner-Company, are located.

It is stated by the learned senior counsel appearing for the petitioner that the petitioner being the highest bidder, was allotted five mineral blocks by respondent no. 2. It is further stated that more than Rs. 47 crores have already been deposited by the petitioner in the office of respondent no. 2, however, he has an apprehension that despite allotment of five minor mineral blocks in its favour, respondent no. 2 is trying to extract minor mineral from the private land.

Learned senior counsel further states that the petitioner has filed a representation before respondent no. 2 on 06.12.2025. He states that the petitioner would feel satisfied, if the instant petition is disposed of with a direction to respondent no. 2 to consider the representation of the petitioner within a reasonable period of time.

Ms. Chetna Manhas, Advocate states that she is not averse to the proposition being made by the learned Senior counsel.

Be that as it may, in view of the above the instant petition is disposed of , at its threshold,with a direction to respondent no. 2 to consider the representation filed by the petitioner on 06.12.2025, which is stated to be pending, before taking any decision for allotment of minor mineral blocks in favour of private land owners.
