1. The petitioner has sought a direction upon respondents No. 2 to 4 to issue verification report for the purpose of renewal of his Passport with a further direction to respondent No. 1 to issue renew Passport in favour of the petitioner upon receipt of the verification report from respondents No. 2 to 4.

2. Issue notice to the respondents.

3. Mr. Eishaan Dadhichi, learned CGSC accepts notice on behalf of respondent No. 1 and Ms. Chetna Manhas, assisting counsel accepts notice on behalf of respondents No. 2 to 4.

The grievance of the petitioner is that he has applied for renewal of his Passport, vide an application No. JM107535399225, with respondent No. 1 but because respondents No. 2 to 4 are not issuing the verification report in favour of the petitioner on account of pendency of some FIR, the Passport of the petitioner is not being renewed by respondent No. 1.

5. Having regard to the nature of the grievance as projected by the petitioner by way of the present petition, the same can be disposed of, at this stage, by extending appropriate directions to respondents No. 2 to 4.

Accordingly, respondents No. 2 to 4 are directed to furnish verification report in respect of the Passport application of the petitioner to respondent No. 1 within a period of fifteen days whereafter respondent No. 1 shall on the basis of verification report of respondents No. 2 to 4 take a decision with regard to the renewal of the Passport of the petitioner most expeditiously in accordance with law preferably within a period of one month from the date verification repot is received by respondent No. 1.
