The main grievance of the petitioners is that their junior is drawing more pay. That petitioners’ request for stepping up their basic pay at par with their junior has not got them any positive result.

2. Learned counsel for the petitioners submitted that the question involved in this writ petition had also come up for adjudication in Naresh Dutt Sharma Versus State of H.P. & Ors.² . That the relief claimed by the petitioner therein for stepping up of his pay at par with that of his junior had been allowed. Learned counsel for the

petitioners submits that the petitioners would be satisfied in case the respondent-University is directed to consider their respective cases for the redressal of their grievances raised in this writ petition in accordance with law keeping in view the aforesaid decision within a fixed-time schedule. Learned counsel for the respondent is not averse to this prayer.

Having regard to the afore-submissions, but without examining the merits of the matter, this writ petition is disposed of with a direction to the respondent to consider and decide the respective cases of the petitioners for the redressal of their grievances raised in the writ petition in accordance with law as well as taking into consideration the above judgment in the case of Naresh Dutt Sharma² within a period of six weeks from today. The decision so arrived at shall also be communicated to the petitioners.

The writ petition stands disposed of in the above terms, so also the pending miscellaneous application(s), if any.
