The petitioner, by way of present petition, has sought direction to the respondents to transfer him from Primary Health Centre, Nakrod to any of the stations, which fall in soft area. Keeping in view the order proposed to be passed in the present petition, no reply is being sought from the respondents.

The petitioner was appointed as Medical Officer on contract basis on 01.03.2018 and posted in Medical Block Tissa, District Chamba, H.P., which is a hard/tribal area. His services were regularized on 04.06.2021, as is evident from perusal of Annexure P-2, a letter dated 24.03.2026 issued by the Block Medical Officer, Tissa, District Chamba, H.P. Since the petitioner has completed his normal tenure in hard/tribal area, he is required to be transferred to the soft area. The petitioner has mentioned the stations, which are as under:-

i) Civil Hospital, Dalhousie ii) Primary Health Centre, Mehla. iii) Primary Health Centre, Pukhri, iv) Primary Health Centre, Masroond v) Zonal Hospital, Dharamshala or any other nearby stations .

The Block Medical Officer, Tissa, District Chamba, H.P. has already forwarded the request of the petitioner to the Chief Medical Officer, Chamba, District Chamba, H.P. vide letter dated 24.03.2026.

Keeping in view of the fact that the petitioner has served in hard/tribal area since 01.03.2018, the respondent/competent authority is directed to transfer the petitioner to any of the soft stations, mentioned hereinabove within a period of four weeks from the date of production of a

copy of this order. Needless to say that before passing the order, the competent authority will take into consideration the Transfer Policy framed by the State of Himachal Pradesh.
