2. Petitioner is serving as Lab Attendant at GSSS Millah, District Sirmaur. Petitioner's grievance is to the office order dated 14.09.2026 that transfers him to GSSS Bagani vice Respondent No. 5. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that petitioner is due to superannuate on 30.06.2027. Therefore, in accordance with applicable transfer policy, respondents ought to adjust him at a place of his convenience. Learned counsel for the petitioner also submitted that impugned transfer order 1 Whether reporters of the local papers may be allowed to see the judgment?

has been implemented inasmuch as Respondent No. 5 has joined at the place of the petitioner.

Keeping the aforesaid in view and also the fact that petitioner has already completed his normal tenure at the present place but is due to superannuate on 30.06.2027, this writ petition is disposed of, reserving liberty to the petitioner to prefer a representation in accordance with law for his adjustment to respondent No. 2 within a period of four days. In case such a representation is preferred, it shall be considered and decided in accordance with law and applicable transfer policy, keeping in view petitioner's impending retirement, within a period of one week thereafter. Copy of order so passed be also communicated to the petitioner. Till such time, petitioner shall not be compelled to join at the transferred station. He shall be at liberty to seek leave of the kind due. In case representation is not preferred within the aforesaid period, limited protection made available to the petitioner under this order shall cease to have any effect after a period of one week.
