Notice. Learned Assistant Advocate General appears and waives service of notice on behalf of the respondents.

Petitioner is serving as Junior Basic Teacher at GPS Jassourgarh, District Chamba. His grievance is against office order dated 22.08.2026 that transfers him to GPS Hellan, Education Block Kalhel, District Chamba, against vacancy. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that petitioner is currently deputed as census functionary for performing duties under Census 2027; That in terms of applicable instructions of the State, he cannot be disturbed till 31st March 2027.

Learned Assistant Advocate General submits that aforesaid

order, in terms of which, officials deployed for census duty shall not be disturbed till the completion of the census, that is till 31.03.2027. Learned Assistant Advocate General submits that in view of the aforesaid note, petitioner has not even been relieved from his present place.

In view of above, the writ petition to stand disposed of. Respondents are directed to take note of the factual position of petitioner deployed as Enumerator for Census 2027 and in view of note mentioned

in the impugned office order itself, he shall not be disturbed till the completion of the census. Pending applications, if any, also stand disposed of.
