2. Precisely, the facts of the case, as emerge from the record are that FIR, sought to be quashed in the instant proceedings, came to be lodged at the behest of respondent No.2, Sh. Amandeep Singh ( hereinafter referred to as the complainant), who alleged that on 18.09.2023, at 12.30 PM, while they entered Government College Paonta Sahib, persons namely, Mukul, Aditya, Abhilash, Sagar, Tanveer and Yogesh, who at that relevant time were wearing mask attacked them with sharp edged weapon, as a result thereof, they suffered multiple injuries. On the basis of aforesaid complaint, FIR, sought to be quashed in the instant proceedings, came to be instituted against the accused named in the FIR, who are petitioners herein. Though, after completion of the investigation, police has already presented the challan in the competent Court of law, but before the same could be taken to its logical end, parties have entered into compromise, whereby they resolved to settle their dispute amicably interse them. In the aforesaid background, petitioners have approached this Court in the instant proceedings for quashing of the FIR as well as consequent proceedings pending in the competent court of law.
