Petitioners have filed the petition under Article 226 of the Constitution of India seeking protection of their life and liberty.

Learned counsel for the petitioners has submitted that the petitioners are major and have performed marriage of their own free will on 31^st October, 2022. Parents of petitioner No. 2 are not happy with the marriage performed by the petitioners. Hence, the petitioners fear danger to their life and liberty.

merits of the case, this petition is disposed of with a direction that in case the petitioners move a representation before Superintendent of Police, Sirmuar, H.P., seeking protection of their life and liberty, the Superintendent of Police, Sirmaur, H.P., shall look into the said representation in accordance with law; and if required, shall provide necessary protection to the petitioners.
