Heard learned advocate Mr. Dakshesh Barot for the petitioner. By way of this petition, the petitioner has prayed for the following relief:

“(A) YOUR LORDSHIPS be pleased to issue a writ of mandamus or any other writ, order or direction to the respondent authorities to give effect in Public Trust Register about order dated 06.01.2007 (Annexure-A) passed by the Joint Charity Commissioner, Surat in Scheme Modification Application No. 2-98/Vadodara/301/Surat made by the father of the petitioners, as well as direction to decide Regular Civil Appeal No. 17 of 2007 (Annexure-B) preferred by Uttam Jerambhai Pujari before the Ld. Principal District Judge, Valsad challenging order dated 06.01.2007 passed by the Joint Charity Commissioner, Surat in Scheme Modification Application

Application No. 1 of 2025, preferably within a period of one year, in the interest of justice.”

Considering the innocuous relief prayed for by the petitioner, the respondent Assistant Charity Commissioner, Valsad is directed to decide the application dated 14.11.2024 made by the father of the petitioner as early as possible, preferably within a period of one year from today.

With the above observation, the petition is disposed of. It is clarified that this Court has not gone into the merits of the matter. Rights and contentions of all the sides are kept open, and the petitioner is directed to cooperate in the hearing. Learned advocate Mr. Barot states that, except in exceptional circumstances, the petitioner will not seek adjournment before the Assistant Charity Commissioner concerned.
