The present petition has been filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India seeking the following prayers:-

“A. This Hon’ble Court may be pleased to issue any appropriate writ, order or direction and thereby be pleased to direct the respondents no.2 and 3 to change the name of the petitioner to “Vepari Mohammadaakib Yasinbhai” in the mark-sheet/degree certificate issued by the respondents and as prayed by him in his application which are at Annexure ‘A’;

B. Pending the admission, hearing and final disposal of the present petition this Hon’ble Court may be pleased to direct the respondent no.2 to consider the applications preferred by the present

Heard Mr.Parth Patel, learned advocate for Mr.Shrineel Shah, learned advocate appearing for the petitioner and Mr.Siddharth Dave, learned advocate appearing for the respondent no.3.

Mr.Patel, learned advocate appearing for the petitioner submitted that the application preferred by the petitioner is pending adjudication before the respondent authority since 2019 and the respondent authority be directed to decide the said application within a stipulated time.

In the interest of justice, the respondent - University is directed to decide the application dated 21.09.2019 preferred by the petitioner seeking change of name in the marksheet from “Khatki Mohammadaakib Yasinbhai to Vepari Mohammadaakib Yasinbhai”, which is duly produced at Annexure ‘A’ (Page 9 of this petition) within a period of eight weeks from the receipt of this order.

It is clarified that this Court has otherwise not accessed the matter on merits. In
