When the present Special Civil Application came up for consideration today learned Additional Solicitor General Mr.Devang Vyas produced on record office memorandum dated 7.10.2022 issued by the Tax Research Unit, Department of Revenue, Ministry of Finance, Government of India, whereby the time period is extended for completing the on-going anti-subsidy investigation on import of "Certain Hot Rolled and Cold Rolled Flat products of Stainless Steel" into India from China PR (initiated vide the Initiation Notification No.7/21/2021-DGTR, dated 8th October, 2021) by another 6 months, i.e., till 6th April, 2023.

The copy of the said communication is kept on record.
In view of the above, learned senior advocate Mr.Mihir Joshi with learned advocate Ms.Gargi Vyas and learned advocate Mr.Arjun Joshi stated before the court that the cause for seeking the direction prayed for in the petition does not survive. It is submitted on behalf of the petitioner that the petition may be accordingly disposed of.
In light of the above development and the statement, the petition stands disposed of as not surviving.
