However, this is an issue which is a disputed question of fact which cannot be gone into in contempt proceedings, particularly when there is a serious issue regarding quantum of Rs. 2,49,600/- having been paid

Since there is substantial compliance namely a sum of Rs. 36,52,800/- having already been paid to complainant which includes interest component, we do not propose to continue the contempt proceeding. Hence, contempt proceedings stands DROPPED . Petitioner is at liberty to work out his rights, if any, in the manner known to law.
