RULE . Learned Additional Public Prosecutor waives service of notice of rule on behalf of the respondent – State.
The present application has been preferred by the applicant – convict through jail praying for reduction of the amount of deposit of Rs.20,000 for releasing him on furlough leave, on rejection of the application by the authority.
Heard the learned Additional Public Prosecutor for the respondent – State.
I have read the application, perused the documents and jail remarks on record. From the jail remarks, it appears that the applicant – convict the convict has not enjoyed any furlough and has enjoyed parole granted by the District Magistrate during Covid period where also the applicant has surrendered one day prior to the date of surrender. Even his jail conduct is also good.
Considering the overall facts and circumstances of the case and the fact that the applicant is in jail since last more than 4 years, the amount of deposit of Rs.25,000 is reduced to
